Computing When I Was Younger

This isn't the exact replica of the first desktop computer my family owned when I was in primary school, but it is the same brand: ALR.

I first started to tinker with computers during the days of 286 processors, and my workstation came with two 5-1/4" floppy drives. One drive was meant to boot up the DOS operating system, while the other floppy drive supported the programs that we would run in the desktop.

Computers to me meant the world, because they were the beginning of my relentless pursuit for knowledge, and my technical know-how evolved with each new workstation that we purchased. From 286 to 386, then 486. then Pentium 586, then by then we were using Microsoft Windows 95 and 98 and computers by the year 2000 were advanced enough there was the internet.
