To the Hell with you

I am not against Amos Yee, but I also will not support him.

To me, serving my time in the army as an enlistee is a privilege, as well as a right. I was downgraded to PES C9L3 after dislocating my left shoulder and being diagnosed with marfan syndrome, so I wasn't able to take on combat fit roles. Still, I worked with my Platoon Commander then LTA Lionel Tan to volunteer myself for roles in the army that would suit my predicament. I was eventually interviewed by a Colonel Judy Ho of Joint Manpower Department who brought me on board the team at HQ Mindef Gombak Base.

I told my benefactors that I would do anything and everything that would allow me to go home every night to look after my ageing maternal grandmother. They granted my wish, so I did my best every day at work in Gombak and I eventually completed my National Service with an Outstanding Certificate of Service.

So with regards to Amos Yee, I am not able to support him because our views totally do not agree. To me, being able to serve NS is such a wonderful thing, I recall myself attending the military funeral of guardsman CFC Dave Lee and feeling so sad for him and his loved ones, I myself felt touched by the sacrifice he made just to make everyone alert of how important safety is in the SAF regime. Yet for Amos Yee, he's not sacrificing himself for a greater good, he's just a sucker for attention and hoping that others would foolishly be manipulated by him - to be fair, he's more like a founder of an evil cult and I have to condemn him and his ideas because we have no room for people like him in our peaceful society.

I don't wish to get my hands dirty going up to Amos Yee and slapping him on the face, but I think if someone should die, Amos Yee should lead by example and kill himself and save us all that trouble. Once again, I don't wish to pit myself against him, but I refuse to express the slightest support for him because there are a lot of children still suffering from malnutrition in the world out there and if I have a spare dollar, I would rather donate to UNICEF than to support bananas like Amos Yee. He does not deserve us Singaporeans. He should repent and get out of our sights and minds.

To the hell with you Amos Yee.
