Adopt a Cow
I have been sponsoring a cow named Lisa Bella in North America for quite sometimes now. No I'm not asking you to follow me, I'm just a superstitious fool who has never tasted beef my whole life and I believe since my childhood that cows are sacred and should not be killed for their flesh or leather.
Around a decade ago, I started searching the internet for advice on how can I adopt a cow and raise it. Initially I couldn't find anything suitable, and my searches directed me to South Asia but I have no confidence in the scammy websites set up in South Asia. It was only last year did I discover this North American 503(c) not for profit which lists their cattle out for adoption, and each month they'll send me photographs and updates of adopted cows to let us know that the cows are safe and happily grazing in the fields or hiding in the barns during winter.
I'm not saying that this Cows Foundation is perfect. All I'm saying is that ever since I adopted my cow Lisabella, I have watched her growing up and becoming a mother a few months ago. It's a bit like Tamagotchi, except that the pet is a cow instead of a digital dog.
I don't know how long this Cows Foundation is going to last, but all these months they have been quite diligent in sending me updates and letting me know that my donation dollars are being properly used. I also try not to ask too much. As long as Lisabella has enough hay and grass to eat and is growing up safely with her son and parents, I am quite content.
I really like cows. Apart from cats the animal I endear the most is a cow. I find cows really cute, especially when they moo.
