Eight Training Precepts
As a lay Buddhist, I customise my training precepts so that they are more in sync with how I wish to lead my life. The eight training precepts I undertake are as follows:
- Refrain from killing.
- Refrain from stealing.
- Refrain from fornicating.
- Refrain from lying.
- Refrain from intoxicating.
- Refrain from joining politics.
- Refrain from starting schisms.
- Refrain from breaking laws (such as violating traffic rules).
